We are now in Oswego and ready to cross Lake Ontario tomorrow to Presqu'ile, Ontario Canada. It will be a 7-hour trip across the big lake but weather prediction is good, so it should be an uneventful crossing.
Today we made it 20 miles across Oneida Lake, into more of the Erie Canal, into the Oswego Canal and finally to the Oswego Marina. Oswego, NY is a hopping place tonight, as it is one of their big summer events - Harborfest. We were very lucky to have gotten a slip.
When we cross to Canada we will purchase a Canadian phone card, but will have limited access to internet. We will keep you posted on contact information as we enter Canada and will post to the blog whenever we are able. We are MUCH closer to finishing our trip...bittersweet. The best is yet ahead...Canada, North Channel, Great Lakes, and then HOME with friends and family! What a journey this has been!! Thanks for following along with us. Hugs to you all!

This is the view all the way down the Hudson. Spectacular!! At times, the landscape gave the impression of the river slanting downhill. |

Connie with sweet Mary & Luke, friends like family from way back. Luke was 10 months old when we saw him last. He is now almost 19!! Mary has been a HUGE part of our family since the time my kids were very little. VERY special, and she has raised a wonderful son. |

Hallelujah!!! The last lock of the canal system in New York!!!! |

One of the few storms we saw on the water...luckily we were able to get safely to the dock before the rain cut loose. |

Jim is auditioning for street man of the year. VERY hot day in Waterford. I did laundry, he did grocery shopping. Unique...the grocery store allowed him to take the cart from the store back to the marina. He swung by and picked up the laundry and his wife. I had to walk, though. |

Mary & Luke...awesome people!!! |
Have fun and have safe travels! <3
