After crashing early from what seemed to be a very long couple of days, we arose early this morning and left Bohemia Bay for the trek through the C&D (Connecticut & Delaware) Canal, the Delaware River, Delaware Bay and Cape May Canal.
Lady Luck and the wind gods were on our shoulder once again. We had a beautiful, sunny calm day to cross Delaware Bay. It is a huge body of water, with shore either not visible or barely visible for a good part of the trip down the length of it. For tomorrow, the wind and weather forecast is favorable for us to leave Cape May and enter the Atlantic Ocean for the journey to Atlantic City, where we will likely spend tomorrow night. It's amazing that in 2 days of travel we have been in Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey. Luckily, our biggest annoyance were some fast boats speeding through the Cape May Canal and giving us huge wakes which we had to maneuver through. There were some choice words floating around our helm area!
